Hi Nick:  Just read your insightful Pitchforks article in the July issue of Politico.  Thought it was a persuasive explanation for those have so long been opposed to these relatively basic steps.

As a former Seattle-ite (I now live and work in London), I'm hoping you'll excuse the "outreach" and allow a couple of questions?

* Given your (presumed) involvement in the recent wage increase in Seattle, are you planning to take your case further?  If so, I'd be interested in whether you've had the chance to chat about your ideas with your peers across the Atlantic?  Unlike in Europe, the wealthy & political classes in the UK seems to have a strong desire to follow the example of the U.S., and I think that is (and will continue to be) a road to eventual ruin.

* Whilst your arguments are sound, it seems interesting that Amazon is one of those companies that, while wildly successful, does pay close to minimum wage for most of its warehouse staff (pickers, etc.)  I know Jeff is a strong believer in frugality.  Does he share your opinion, or is this, as you mentioned, a case of an entire sector being forced to compete on equal terms?

Hopefully we'll see more of your ideas influence the political discourse both in the U.S. and overseas.

Thanks for the great article.
