Family Camping with Young Children - Equpiment List (with Links) This is our third camping season, and we've starting to build up a reasonable set of kit -- useful, portable, and not too pricey for no-regrets enjoyment (see below). Comments section has tips.
We started in 2016 while living in Luxembourg, with a camping trip to Interlaken, Switzerland, when the kids were 4.5 & 1yr old, and we got hooked! Returning to UK, we went twice in 2017 (Dorset & Leicestershire) with the kids now 5.5 & 2 yrs old. With the glorious summer, we've managed to go four times this year (2018) in various UK locations (Leeds Castle, Folkestone, Tring, and Hastings), kids 6.5 and 3 yrs old. It's been a blast for all of us, and a great way to recharge.
