Some fun facts about the Location & Area

The Pioneer Club was built in 1941 for evacuees that were relocated from London to St. Albans during WWII.  It is host to the oldest indoor skatepark in the UK (since 1991), home to legendary skater Rod Clarke.  From the 1960s, it has also been an active live music venue headlining numerous up-and-coming bands that have gone on to success.

St. Albans is a Roman heritage city with a cathedral and vibrant city centre.  It is surrounded by Harpenden to the north, Redbourn to the northwest, Welwyn Garden City to the northeast, Hatfield to the east, and Hemel Hempstead to the south.  It has been settled since well before Roman times, and is recorded in the Domesday Book.
